The rights imply a duty of mutual respect, protection of the weak, the obligation to resolve disputes and avoid violence. The vast social, economic, legal and moral implications of human rights make their presence imperative.

Cooperation among Peoples
Cooperation among people, nations, societies, cultures, in a world that is increasingly small and fragile, requires patience, continuity and openness. Cooperation may be at different levels but the interpersonal remains essential. CSI believes that these features should be the subject of discussion, study, training and support, highlighting positive examples.

Development
In the second half of the twentieth century economic growth and development seemed universal goals that all shared. Then the environmental issues, the economic and financial crises, the persistent conflicts, seemed to weaken the interest in the development. But social change and development are essential factors of life for people on the planet.

Wellness
We use the word wellness according to the World Health Organization definition of health -"a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". So our approach is a systemic one in research, prevention, analysis and in clinical interventions. The integrated medicine, the neurosciences, the new frontiers of a bio-psycho-social wellness deserve attention and insights.

Future Scenario
Predicting the future is almost impossible but speculate, simulate and predict on the basis of trend analysis, of articulate scenarios and knowledge of some statistical procedures is not only possible but it is often desirable to prevent risk situations, widespread crisis and other social problems. Scholars can work on these issues, it is then up to politicians, administrators and citizens to make use of these knowledges.

Risk and disaster prevention, given that to the previous natural causes have been added many social and technological causes, is an essential step to improve the living conditions and to ensure the same life to many people. It is a technological issues but there are also many psychological, cultural and organizational components. A complex challenge.
